Dr. Mariam Anjum Ifthikar is the first recognised Gynaecologic Oncologist in Mangalore and Dakshina Kannada, and the first lady robotic surgeon performing robotic and advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgeries in Mangalore and Dakshina Kannada — having performed over 1,000 robotic and 5,000 laparoscopic surgeries. She is also a proctor, mentor and trainer for budding robotic and laparoscopic surgeons.
With formal training in chemotherapy for gynae-oncological cancers, palliative oncology, preventive oncology, and advanced onco-pelvic surgeries, she brings together surgical precision, oncology expertise, and a deeply compassionate approach to women's cancer care.
